Gift Wrap Center

The way a gift is presented and wrapped should reflect your personality and your look. So even before they open your gift, they know it's from you.

It has been a dream of mine for each person to have a Gift Wrap Center in their home... no matter the size of your home. It doesn't have to even have to cost $25. I want to share my creativity with you and bring out your creativity & style.

Colors: What is your favorite color? How have you decorated your home? What color do you tend to wear? What is the accent color that you tend to go to?

Find your favorite paper, bag, color of tissue or ribbon, or gift enclosure in the store to start with, then everything else will coordinate with that. You can do solid colors & choose a palate to work with, or start out with your favorite gift wrap pattern. I prefer using a bag with tissue & ribbon.

Gift cards: I have gorgeous engraved gift enclosure cards and envelopes. The calligraphy was done about 25 years ago by Buddy Blackwell of Seattle, Washington. I treasure his work, and it is the calligraphy I also use on my stationery & notes.

I have a client who let me set up a gift wrap center in her home years ago. We used blue toile bags with blue and white tissue. The finishing touch is a square white gift tag with her name printed on it, already drilled with a hole for the ribbon.

Sizes: You should probably have 6 small bags & 6 medium bags....maybe a few larger ones just in case. A roll of tissue paper from Sample House is only $4.50 and it has 18 sheets on the roll. You could have 1 or 2 colors of tissue. Gift wrap paper if you like to present a wrapped present. For ribbon, maybe in 2 colors and in different widths.

I would LOVE to help you come up with your own look for your gift wrap center. I want to make the store a fun...playful place. Come in and play with me!

Thanks....Jackie

A recent letterpressed Smock invitation we did for a Sarasota wedding. The chevron pattern is fresh and modern.
