Where to begin?

Where to begin?
Paper...
...Printing Method...
...Colors

Paper
· Do you like a deckle edge (looks like hand torn) or straight edges?
· Thicker or light weight paper
· Traditional rectangle shape, square, flat or folded
· Motif or not? Can unify all of your printed pieces

Letterpress

· Same basic cost as engraving
· Usually paper is heavier and textured
· Type is pressed into the paper and gives a more
“hand-made” look

Engraved

· Text is etched into a metal plate
· Produces a crisp, raised type
· White ink engraves beautifully on dark paper

Thermography

· Gives the “look” of engraving but more cost effective
· Can sometimes look “shiny” if not printed correctly

Ashley is amiss

Our dear former Paces Papers gal, Ashley, (remember her) has been
overseas in Italia doing a design grad program.
We are so proud of her...herewith, an ode.

A is for aerodynamic
S is for symphonic, melodic, comic
H is for hilarious
L is for lovely-dovely
E is for entertaining and ethereal
Y is for a year she's been in Italy, soon to be over! hooray!

awaiting your return!! miss you!
